Is it a philosophy? An evaluation method? How do we think about SEED? How long does it take to develop a SEED?
The short and long answers are the same. Get ready to think outside all the boxes. Hang on for a wild ride because we are about to answer all of your questions by creating a thousand more. Confused? Great! That is where the learning begins with the SEED method:

SEED:
- stands for Single Expository Educational Design.
- is a method that cuts through the BULLSHIT. No filler. No rabbit holes.
- can be used for everything (analysis, understanding, retention, experimentation, exposition, etc).
- can be used to design for students at any level.
- may utilize or be included in any framework.
- The method makes family of many frameworks as eclectic elements and is cross-disciplinary. ADDIE, Surrealism, Agile, Piaget, Maslow, Brooks, DSDM (non-IT or IT), Psychology, Bloom’s Taxonomy, all inform and can develop a SEED, and a seed can be used inside any framework of instructional design.
- SEED is a show-and-tell method.
- An individual SEED is short and to the point.
- A SEED has a tangible objective.
